Event Organizers Policy
1. Event Creation & Approval
Event organizers can create events on tixbank.com based on the following guidelines:
Free Events: Organizers can list free events directly on the platform without prior approval.
Paid Events: Events that require a paid ticket must go through an approval process. The approval process may take between 1 to 5 business days.
Event Restrictions: Only events that comply with the laws of the country where the event is being held may be listed on the platform. TixZone Ltd reserves the right to reject or remove events that do not meet legal requirements.
Review Process: Each event submission is subject to a review process. However, the criteria for event approval will not be disclosed to organizers to prevent manipulation. This review is handled on a case-by-case basis.
2. Ticket Types & Pricing
Event organizers are allowed to offer various types of tickets for their events:
Ticket Types: Organizers may offer any type of ticket, including general admission, VIP, early bird, etc.
Pricing: Organizers are free to set ticket prices at their discretion. There are no minimum or maximum pricing limits, nor are there restrictions on offering discounts.
Different Ticket Options: Organizers may offer different ticket types for various audience segments (e.g., child, senior, group discounts).
Fees: TixZone Ltd charges a 5% fee on all ticket sales, plus a 100 Naira (or equivalent in the organizer's local currency) service fee for each ticket sold.
3. Payment & Settlements
Payment Schedule: Event organizers will receive payment for ticket sales at the end of every working day for verified organizers and a day after the event's completion for unverified organisers. For reputable events or events that require an upfront portion of ticket sales for planning purposes, TixZone Ltd may offer a percentage of ticket sales before the event date if an agreed sales goal is met. Organizers must agree to refund ticket holders in case of event cancellation.
Refund Handling: TixZone Ltd handles refunds for canceled events. If an event date or venue is changed, the organizer must request and handle refunds with the TixZone Ltd team. The decision to offer refunds for such changes is at the organizer's discretion.
Payment Methods: Event organizers can receive payment via bank transfer or cryptocurrency.
4. Event Cancellations or Changes
Event Cancellations: Event organizers are responsible for notifying ticket holders about event cancellations. In such cases, refunds will be issued automatically by TixZone Ltd without further consultation with the organizer.
Notice Period: Organizers are required to provide at least one week's notice before canceling or rescheduling an event. Failure to do so may result in penalties or removal from the platform.
5. Event Attendance & Verification
Ticket Verification: TixZone Ltd will provide each event with an access code. Event organizers and their admins can use this code to access the ticket numbers or barcodes, which can be scanned to mark attendees as present. This can be done using the attendee's phone or the ticket's email.
Attendance Logging: Once a ticket is scanned and marked as in attendance, it cannot be undone. Organizers must ensure that access codes are not shared to avoid unauthorized use.
Event Check-ins: If TixZone Ltd manages event check-ins, organizers are required to provide staff to assist with the check-in process unless otherwise agreed upon with TixZone Ltd.
6. Event Promotion
Promotion Guidelines: Event organizers are free to promote their events through various channels, including advertising and social media, subject to compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Promotional Codes: Event organizers may create and use promotional codes or offer discounts for their events.
7. Compliance & Responsibility
Legal Compliance: Event organizers are fully responsible for ensuring that their events comply with all local, regional, and national laws, including safety regulations, permits, licenses, and any other legally binding requirements.
Event Safety & Fairness: Organizers are responsible for ensuring the safety of the event and fair treatment of ticket buyers. Any complaints from ticket buyers regarding safety or unfair treatment may result in removal from the platform and potential suspension of the organizer's account. The way an organizer treats ticket holders will impact their ability to list future events on TixZone Ltd.
8. Force Majeure Clause
TixZone Ltd and event organizers are not liable for any delays or failures in event execution due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, or government actions.
